Madonna has kickstarted her “Celebration Tour” and is honoring her fellow legends while she’s at it!

The highly anticipated tour began its kickoff on Saturday, October 14, at the O2 Arena in London, and the iconic singer delivered, but not without paying tribute to fellow singer Beyoncé, who just rounded up her record-breaking “Renaissance Tour.”

Madonna Included Beyoncé’s Clip On ‘Celebration Tour’ Opening Night

Before getting on stage to do her thing, Madonna included a clip of Beyoncé honoring her legacy in the interlude. While photos of the “Vogue” songstress over the years were displayed on the screen, a clip of Beyoncé hailing Madonna as a “powerhouse” during the release party of her self-titled album played in the background. The video stated:

“I felt like I wanted to follow in the footsteps of Madonna, and be a powerhouse, and have my own Empire.”

The “La Isla Bonita” singer didn’t stop there but also included Beyoncé’s vocals from BREAK MY SOUL (Queens Remix)  during her show. Recall that Queen B released the remix shortly after the release of “RENAISSANCE,” incorporating elements of Madonna’s 1990 hit “Vogue.”

Fans immediately celebrated the tribute, with one user writing, “Madonna is making one thing clear: the only person who she thinks can fill the space she will leave is Beyoncé.” Another remarked, “If it’s one thing queen M is gonna do is not censor s—. Queens supporting queens.”

This pained fan wrote, “Still sad they never got to do it together on Beyoncé’s tour,” while another described them as “Two Mothers.”

Recall that Madonna was present during the New Jersey stop of Beyoncé’s “Renaissance World Tour” and received an equally enthralling tribute to the great performer. It was a family affair for the “Like A Virgin” singer, who was joined by her daughters, 17-year-old Mercy and 10-year-olds Stella and Estere.

During her performance, Queen B gave her pal a sweet shout-out, saying, “Big shout out to the Queen. Queen Mother Madonna, we love you!” Also, Bey and Madonna linked backstage and took the cutest family photos, which featured Beyoncé’s six-year-old daughter, Rumi.

Madonna’s Daughters Also Took The Stage On The Big Night

Not only did Madonna pay tribute to Beyoncé, but it seems she took a leaf out of her “Renaissance Tour” book and brought her daughters  — Lourdes, Mercy, and Estere — on stage.

Proving she inherited her mother’s talent, 17-year-old Mercy was seen playing the instrumental to her mom’s iconic song “Bad Girl” on a grand piano as Madonna, who sat next to her, sang soulfully.

Fans also got to see 10-year-old Estere, who is a twin, show off her impressive dance moves while her mom performed a mashup of “Vogue.” The pre-teen was seen voguing and strutting the runway in style. Finally, 27-year-old Lourdes, who is making a name for herself as a model and fashion influencer, had a dance session of her own.

Fans online compared the moment to when Blue Ivy joined Beyonce on stage to dance to “Power” from her “Lion King” album. One fan wrote, “Blue Ivy paved the way for all celebrity kids to go on tour with their mamas.” Another comment read, “Blue Ivy and Madonna’s daughter are their mothers’ successors.”

Others, however, remarked that Madonna led the way as her daughters had been performing with her long ago. “Folks saying that Madonna was copying Beyonce for having her daughter perform like Blue did on the Renaissance Tour. Let me take you back to 2019,” the fan wrote.

Another urged, “The comments you know… now they are rivaling Blue Ivy with Madonna’s daughters, stop being BORING and honor the important support and prominence that both have given to the community and especially to ballroom culture.”

While the first night of the “Celebration Tour” was no doubt eventful, it wasn’t without some glitches as Madonna faced some technical issues with the sound, making the show come to a halt for a while. However, the 65-year-old took control of the situation and made light of the situation.

“This is exactly what you don’t want to happen on your opening night, so this wasn’t planned, I’m sorry,” the “Papa Don’t Preach” singer told her fans while entertaining them with stories about her journey to greatness.
