Kristen Stewart’s Chanel dress took 1,034 hours to complete

The dress the actress wears in the poster of the movie “Spencer” was remade from a Spring – Summer 1988 Haute Couture design.

According to WWD , in the first poster of the movie, Kristen Stewart appears wearing a strapless dress embroidered with regal metallic motifs by Chanel fashion house. The design is adapted from the Haute Couture Spring – Summer 1988 collection of the late creative director Karl Lagerfeld. The work is the result of 4 skilled tailors and took 1,034 hours to complete.

The dress is made of organza material with gold and silver details to create sparkling leaves and flower branches. The actress combined it with a pearl necklace and earrings of the same color.

Kristen’s dress reminded the audience of Princess Diana’s sequin and pearl dress with removable sleeves during her visit to the Royal Opera House in 1997.

This is not the first time Kristen has worn clothes from the French fashion house’s archives. In January, the actress wore a red tweed jacket designed in 1988 from the Patrimoine de Chanel collection.

She combined the jacket with a black hat that covered her face like Princess Diana’s image during the 1993 Christmas celebration.
