Sometimes pets can form a bond with other pets that is beyond anything their owners can imagine. For Aida and Kaju, that bond translated into a two-dog team migrating back and forth between Aida and Kaju’s family.
Now, it goes so far as to make Aida think she has to be a part of every family activity at her dog house next door, including bath time for the neighbor’s kids!
This pleased her father and mother, who, along with their neighbors, decided to build a dog door between their houses so that Aida and Kaju could see each other whenever they wished.
Aida and Cashew are always together, and if they are not in one house, they are in the other. “Aida is very friendly and loving. “She really loves everyone and everything, especially our neighbour’s kids,” Eckhorst told The Dodo..
One evening when she disappeared back, the owners were not surprised. They just assumed that she went to visit Kaju and his family, but the truth turns out to be a little more brutal.
“Our neighbors messaged us on Facebook with Aida sitting in their bathtub. We think this is the first time she’s done that,” Aida’s owners said.
Apparently, she snuck back to the other family’s house to engage in the kids’ bath time routine. The owners were beside themselves when they found out that Aida really hates bath time in their house!
But when they saw how much she was enjoying her bath time in the other house, they assumed it was her choice to share. Now, it has become clear that Aida chose to join her neighbor’s family for the baby shower. She goes next door almost every night to party!
For Aida, being involved in every aspect of both families’ lives seems important, even if it’s something she doesn’t usually enjoy at home. After all, she and Kaju have such a strong bond that at this point, the two families almost share dogs.
“I’m sure our neighbors love it, just as we like cashews to come too… They are both a big part of our families,” said Malku Aida.
