“As I was driving, I saw a dog lying down. Something about him made me feel like he was in trouble. So I turned back. I went to check on him. When I got to him he was lying there next to the road. A puddle of rainwater, and he looked like he had given up, as if to say, ‘I can’t.’ I can bear more!”
“I saw he was in pain,” I told him. “Is there anything we can do to help? Don’t give up yet! I’m here for you even if you feel uncomfortable.” Fakhr al-Din reassured.
Fakhreddine took the dog to the vet immediately. Your vet will perform X-rays to identify any fractures or internal injuries. Those are their fears.
There is hope for Maddox and that is the name they gave him. After consulting with specialists, spine surgery will be performed in the clinic despite the challenges they may face in saving his life.
“Maddox is about to face his battle” He will meet the surgeon who will perform the operation and try to give Maddox a fighting chance.
He displayed an intelligence and awareness that seemed to know everything and where they were headed.
He was transferred without delay to the operating room and preparation area. Maddox undergoes surgery! Currently he is sleeping peacefully, after waking up. he. rest.
Within two or three days, an initial post-operative evaluation will be performed to determine if he is in pain! If he responds to “pinching with scissors” there is a 50% chance that with training he may regain his ability to walk.
Given the severity of the cord injury, it is very likely that Maddox will never be able to walk again. There have been cases involving wires with similar damage. And yet his life goes on! We will make sure he has access to a wheelchair.
It’s been six days since the operation! Expectations are disappointing. The vertebrae were crushed. Instead of its normal gray color, the spinal cord appeared blue. The affected vertebra was removed. The pain and severe discomfort are no longer present.
Unfortunately, it is estimated that Maddox will need a wheelchair for the rest of his life.
Sometimes amazing things can happen! People will try to do things that seem impossible. In fact nothing is really impossible.
The progress Maddox has made is truly remarkable. After 16 days, he was already showing signs of improvement. He managed to find his balance and stand on his two legs. But this is the beginning. The plan is for him to return to his cage after an hour. We’ll see how it goes.
It is important not to put all your faith in miracles. However, it is also worth acknowledging that unusual things can happen. And the vet remains optimistic. He believes Maddox’s fighting spirit will help him regain his ability to walk.
