Heroic dog risks life to save kittens in burning building

I’m not sure how the human community runs without the presence of paw companions. Not only are they pets that run around asking for food, but they also set themselves aside and participate in dangerous missions.

This story, which happened in Ukraine on October 20, 2014, is just one of a million proofs that dogs have the bravest heart. There was a massive fire outbreak in this defense contractor that erupted gas and fire.

It caused rampant flames that devastated and destroyed everything in its path. Within a few miles of the area, residents had no way to extinguish the fire but to run away. While there was only one way out, a dog rushed back in the opposite direction.

A dog was hailed as a hero Sunday after risking its life to save a litter of newborn kittens from a house fire.

In the meantime, the owner had no intention of his pet, hopelessly watching the fire grow bigger. But out of the blue, the dog found its way back, this time with a limp kitten in its mouth.

When the flame brought down the house, the dog’s first instinct was to save his little companion. This touching act spread far over the neighbor. Apparently, not many of us humans could think rationally in this situation.

Dog risks life to save his cat friend kittens – How many of us can leave ourselves to save the life of a friend we love the most? Although animals are speechless, they always have their own way of proving the existence of true love and kindness. And the dog in this story deserves our gratitude for true affection he had shown to his beloved friend.

In a case that gives the lie to the adage “fighting like cats and dogs,” the terrier cross named “Leo” had to be resuscitated with oxygen and CPR after his ordeal. Fire broke out overnight in the house in Australia’s southern city of Melbourne where he was guarding the kittens.

Firefighters who resuscitated Leo said he refused to leave the building and was found next to the litter of kittens despite thick smoke.

Leo would not leave the kittens and it almost cost him his life,” Fire Chief Ken Brown told reporters.
