A 22-year-old man from Irvine, California, has been arrested after he was seen repeatedly kicking a five-month-old French Bulldog puppy.
Residents witnessed Ruyang Zhang kicking the innocent puppy several times before kicking it down the stairs in an apartment complex in Irvine.
Zhang lives in this complex as well as his stay-at-home girlfriend, with whom he shares a puppy.
Officers took the pup to an area veterinarian, where she was diagnosed with multiple broken bones in her legs. You will remain in the vet’s care until further notice.
Zhang was booked into the Orange County Jail on suspicion of felony animal abuse and was later released from custody.
Irvine police say the case will report to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
