Countless times, we’ve seen stray dogs on the street asking humans for help. And no matter how many times we ran into these poor little animals, we couldn’t help but feel happy about their poor conditions. Most of them are hungry, homeless, and dehydrated. In the worst circumstances, these unfortunate animals may also be injured and lose the ability to forage for food to at least survive. But we have never witnessed this horrific scene when abandoned dogs were left almost dead in the street, with nothing but skin and bones.
The dog’s name is Eva, and when Samaritan first spotted this little friend, she was lying quietly on the sidewalk under a large tree. Then the rescuer predicted that the poor dog had Ehrlichia, and she was so paralyzed that she could not move her hind leg. Sadly, though she repeatedly asked for help, no one was willing to help.
This moment instantly touched the woman’s heart, and with the puppy in her hand, Samaritan’s eyes filled with tears back to the car.
First, you bring the little dog home and provide her with enough food and water. So that the next day the rescuer can bring the dog to the nearby vet for a serious medical examination.
“The next day, I was going to take Eva to the vet so she could run all her blood work, so I quietly approached her, carried her to the car, and drove home,” said the rescuer.
An appointment with a specialist was made immediately to check on the furry friend. Fortunately, Eva was still eating well and feeling happy despite her poor health. In addition, the even better news was that she was free of HW and Ehrlichia after a blood test.
So what is the main reason for her hind legs? After an x-ray examination, the technician discovered two injured vertebrae that were causing her severe pain and paralysis in her legs.
According to the vet, who stated that the damage resulted from a collision with a human or a car, the orthopedic surgeon will then determine if surgery is a good option for her.
Eva received a large dose of painkillers every day to improve her mood. Eva was doing well and making a full recovery.
Eva has always given her best, despite knowing that she has a long road to recovery ahead of her. The patient was given daily massage sessions, three days of electrical stimulation, and daily water therapy.
Eva has excelled in her treatment and recovery in a concise period. Her hind legs have become stronger and more flexible. Before long, her front legs were no longer so tight and she could straighten them and keep them upright.
The little dogs have now found the home and the people they deserve. She gets recognition, becomes a citizen of Canada, and enjoys complete freedom.
