The Daily Mail (UK) reported on July 16 that people living near Nafpaktos (Greece) even built a temporary cage for the dog and built an altar for its owner.
The owner of a loyal dog named Haris died on November 9, 2017 when he drove a car that collided with a truck.
Since then, the loyal dog has only hung around the location where Mr. Haris died. It is unclear how the dog got to the place 12 km from home (video below, source: Daily Mail).
Many local people offered to adopt the poor dog, but it refused to leave its position.
Even on hot days, the dog only moved to the shade under a nearby bush, showing no signs of wanting to leave.
People around the area brought food, water and blankets to the loyal dog. Many people have called this dog “Greek Hachiko”. Hachiko the dog in Japan became a legend when he waited for his deceased owner at Shibuya station for nearly 10 years.
