No dog deserves to be without a home and a family to call his own.
Unfortunately, countless pooches are left at the mercy of the streets to fend for themselves, and only a few lucky ones get to live their happily ever after.
In May 2023, Bailey learned how it felt to be homeless. This South Californian dog mom lost her furever home in a fire, and her owners left her and the rest of her family behind.
Fearful and traumatized, she instinctively escaped the burning house. She never really got the chance to see her puppies again until a kind-hearted woman decided to help!

Bailey’s owners left their whole doggo family behind – her, her new litter, and a male dog, and they never looked back.
The neighbors, who realized that the dogs were still inside the burning house, rushed to save the tiny family, only to find a male dog and Bailey’s puppies.
Bailey instinctively escaped the house and ran as far as she could. No one knew where exactly she went, and when they finally realized that she was nowhere to be found, they pulled the plug on the search.
A few days later, a woman spotted Bailey hiding in a neighboring equestrian park, but when she tried to approach her – Bailey immediately ran away.

The woman contacted Suzette Hall, of Logan’s Legacy, from Irvine, California. This long-time rescuer spared no time, and she arrived at the spot to help the poor dog reunite with her family, but Bailey was just too timid to be trapped.
Hall and her team spent hours trying to lure this dog mom inside a humane trap, and yet there were no results.
But then, the most amazing thing happened!
The neighbors who rescued her puppies reached out and showed up with them on the very rescue spot – giving Hall a whole new idea!

She put the puppies inside a crate and placed them behind a trap, and as soon as Bailey heard them yelping – she rushed into the rescue mission herself!
Hall and the team had never seen a dog run so fast, and they were more than shocked to see how protective Bailey was of them.
“She ran so fast in less than 20 seconds she was next to the trap and her babies. It was absolutely beautiful,” says Hall.
As she still didn’t want to get inside the trap, Hall decided to take one of the puppies in her hand to see if Bailey would come up to her – and it happened!
Once this brave mama realized that Hall was there to help, she literally jumped into her lap and started showering her with love.
From that moment on, it was kisses and hugs everywhere, as if she was trying to thank Hall for this noble mission.
The Sweetest Reunion Ever

After the rescue, Bailey was sent to a foster home where she later reunited with the rest of her family – and she couldn’t be happier!
“She was like a whole new dog. She knew she was rescued. Her smile made us so happy,” Hall wrote on her Facebook.
She was so excited to be back with her little family, and she couldn’t take the smile off her face!
Not too long after their reunion, the whole family was cleared for adoption. After three of her puppies got adopted, it was time for Bailey to meet her furever dad, and she just loved it!
“As soon as she laid eyes on her new daddy, it was like her long lost friend. She was so incredibly happy. We knew this was her new hero,” says Hall.

She finally got someone to love her unconditionally – someone who will never, ever leave her!
