Recently, a young singer shared a photo of himself on his Facebook page, which touched the hearts of many. The photo shows a mother dog in distress trying desperately to free her puppy from an iron cage.
It was sad to see the mother dog locked in the cage as she was giving birth and struggling to help her escape its confines. The photo resonated with viewers, receiving 1,000 likes, many shares, and dozens of comments within one hour.
The photo showed a frightened dog impatiently trying to squeeze his head through the iron bars of the cramped barn in which he was born. As I stood next to the mother dog, I witnessed first-hand the puppies struggle to break free from their prison. The scene stirred emotions. It moved many observers to tears.
Imagine the suffering of a puppy deprived of its mother’s nutritious milk while also thinking about how sad it must be for the mother herself to witness her precious offspring suffering and facing death. Why was this innocent creature subjected to the circumstances upon entering this world?
The image of a dog with its eyes squeezed inside what appears to be a “death” truck has sparked outrage among countless individuals.
Many dog lovers who oppose the consumption of dog meat have expressed frustration as they question why Asian cultures traditionally include dog meat in their diets. They believe that dogs should be given a loving home rather than treated as food.
There is a consensus among people that eating dog meat is morally wrong and should be banned. In their words, they express the desire of humans to reduce the consumption of meat from animals that are close and friendly to us and to choose animals that have a faster growth rate and are less prone to health problems.
I personally sincerely hope those involved in the dog meat industry will reconsider their options and allow these poor creatures to live freely.
