Miley Cyrus’ cheeky photo shoot puts her shape on show… but where have her curves gone now?
She’s been making headlines continuously since her raunchy MTV VMAs performance and it seems as if all of the controversy could be taking its toll on Miley Cyrus.
The 20-year-old pop star posed for a photo spread for Fashion Magazine 10 days after her performance on August 25th and while the pictures have just been released, it’s obvious Miley has lost weight in the past month.
In the photo shoot Miley shows off her curvy derriere in a skimpy black body suit but when the star performed at the Today show earlier this week, her weight loss was evident.
Curvier: Miley Cyrus looked curvier in her pictures from the Fashion Magazine shoot which have just been released but she showed off her weight loss in tiny shorts in New York on Monday
However, in the accompanying interview with Fashion Magazine, Miley claimed she couldn’t be happier that people are still taking about her controversial MTV VMAs performance, saying shocking people is what she does best.
Miley said: ‘People expect me to shock—that’s what I do. Shocking people is what I’m good at.
Spot the difference: Miley’s punishing work schedule in the build up to the release of her new album Bangerz could also be to blame for her weight loss
‘Think about it: Would Donald Trump really care about anyone’s VMA performance unless it was at that magnitude? My friend’s 94-year-old grandma saw it and she didn’t remember anybody being at the show except me.’
Miley also hit out at people who have accused her of cashing in on her sexuality, saying, ‘It’s 2013! Get with the programme! If you wanna be sexy, be sexy. If you don’t, don’t.’

However, the former Hannah Montana star insists her new sexy image is just part of her growing up and she isn’t trying to be controversial just for the sake of it.
‘I grew up, lived and learned,’ she said. ‘I didn’t wake up and say, “How am I going to change? How am I going to shock people?” I figured out who I am on my own. Artists are supposed to be honest.’
Comfortable: Miley says she dresses for her own comfort and isn’t trying to impress anyone with the clothes she wears
Miley has a clear idea of how she wants her career to progress and says she won’t be censored.
Speaking about the drug MDMA, which she refers to as Molly in her songs, she said: ‘People can try to censor me, but it won’t work. You can bleep out Molly in my songs, but I don’t let people censor my personality.’

Daring: Miley sports a series of daring outfits for the shoot and ruled out wearing anything that was too covered up
While Miley was criticised for her overtly sexual performance at the VMAs, which saw her grinding up against married singer Robin Thicke, she is disappointed that all of the backlash was directed at her.
‘Why is there such a double standard,’ she fumed. ‘No one talks about who I was dancing with at the VMAs. It’s never “Robin Thicke gets raunchy with Miley,” it’s always “Miley Cyrus gets raunchy with Robin Thicke.” It’s because I am young and a woman.’
Hard at work: Miley poses up a storm during her Fashion Magazine photo shoot
Although her father starred with her on Hannah Montana, Cyrus says he is happy with her new grown up image and both of her parents back her in whatever she does.
She said, ‘My dad loves my music. My parents aren’t really strict. They don’t care about what I do on stage- that’s not who I am as a person, that’s who I am as an entertainer. [My dad] supports me and is happy that I am succeeding. What parent doesn’t want their kid to succeed?’
