The successful spin-off series of the equally successful “Big Bang Theory” is coming to an end.
According to Deadline, the upcoming 7th season of “Young Sheldon” will be its last. It will consist of 14 episodes, with an hour long series finale airing on May 16.
“The finale of Young Sheldon brings the journey of the Sheldon Cooper character to an end after 14 years across two series,” writes Nellie Andreeva on Deadline.
“Young Sheldon” came right when “Big Bang Theory” was wrapping up, where the wisecracking genius character Sheldon, played by Jim Parsons, made such an impression with his smart-alecky comments, clapbacks, and whatnots.
It premiered as the best new comedy of the 2017-2018 season and remained at the top spot for the 2022-2023 season.
