And she said that she’s never ever seen her son so happy.
Initially, she said spending time with Swift in the suite at Arrowhead Stadium was “OK.” Following that, she told the WSJ that Kelce called her after her TV appearance and told her she did a great job, dispelling any hesitation she had about how Swifties and the rest of the world responded to her interview (and he even said her green glasses were a great choice for the cameras).
“I can tell you this. He’s happier than I’ve seen him in a long time,” she said. “God bless him. He shot for the stars!”
Travis’s brother, Jason, also spoke to the publication, reiterating their mother’s sentiment that Travis is happier than ever.
“He just lives his life with so much joy,” Jason said. “He’s always kind of surrounding himself with people who are funny, who have a zest for life; it’s one of the things that defines him.”
And, of course, the man at the center of it all opened up about his relationship with Swift, saying that while the two share many things in common, her love for her family is one of the major reasons that he admires her so much.
“Everybody knows I’m a family guy,” Travis said. “Her team is her family. Her family does a lot of stuff in terms of the tour, the marketing, being around, so I think she has a lot of those values as well, which is right up my alley.”
