LSU’s Angel Reese Picks Between Kevin Durant, LeBron James

LSU’s Angel Reese is the best women’s college basketball player in the world right now.

After leading the Tigers to a National Championship last year, she has been on an absolute roller coaster ride in terms of hype and attention.

This past week, Reese sat down with Sports Illustrated for a fun game. Essentially, she was presented with two players and asked to choose between them.

Reese’s most interesting answer came when she was asked to pick between LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers and Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns.

Obviously, based on her other answers, the only person Reese holds in higher esteem than Durant is Shaquille O’Neal. That said, it is still super interesting that she would pick Durant over the player many consider to be the potential GOAT.

Between her wild recent party photos with Olivia Dunne, the rumors she was secretly dating a teammate, and her back-and-forth with NBA YoungBoy, Reese has been a permanent fixture in the news cycle over the past year.

This most recent viral blip is just par for the course.

With the 2023-24 NBA season rapidly approaching, it will be interesting to see if Reese’s confidence in Durant will be rewarded.

Obviously, as signaled by their acquisition of Bradley Beal this summer, the Suns are gearing up for a title run in the West. In order to do that, they will have to go through last year’s Western Conference Finals runners-up – James’ Lakers.

James and Durant have faced off in the NBA Finals before, but this could mark the first time the pair battles it out before that point.

If the Lakers and Suns make it to the Western Conference Finals this year, will Reese come out and watch them go to battle perhaps for the last time? One way or another, an answer will emerge next season.
