“Am I allowed to say that?” asked DWTS‘ pro Peta Murgatroyd

DANCING WITH THE Stars is entering its Midnights era.

DWTS‘ pro dancer Peta Murgatroyd told Billboard Wednesday that the show will be hosting an episode dedicated to Taylor Swift.

“We will be having a Taylor Swift week here,” Murgatroyd told the outlet. “Am I allowed to say that?” he added. It’s unclear though when the Swift-themed episode will take place.

Murgatroyd is currently competing alongside Brady Bunch actor Barry Williams on the dance competition show. Other competitors on the series include Real Housewives‘ Mauricio Umansky, Bachelorette‘s Charity Lawsui, actress Xochitl Gomez, and singer Jason Mraz.

Jamie Lynn Spears was eliminated this week after comedian Matt Walsh went home first the week prior.

Dancing with the Stars has long hosted nights themed after A-list musicians. Last year, a Michael Bublé night and an Elvis Presley theme were featured, and in 2021, there were nights dedicated to Britney Spears and Queen.

Swift last visited the DWTS set in 2010, when she performed Fearless‘ “White Horse,” along with “Mine” while promoting her album Speak Now.

Along with the buzz surrounding Swift’s Eras Tour, the singer has been making headlines for her supposed burgeoning relationship with Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce. During a recent episode of New Heights, the player admitted that the National Football League has been taking their coverage of Swift attending the team’s games a bit far.

“I think it’s fun when they show who all is at the game,” Kelce answered when Jason asked for his honest opinion on the coverage, separate from his feelings towards Swift. “I think it brings a little bit more to the atmosphere, brings a little bit more to what you’re watching. But at the same time, they’re overdoing it a little bit for sure… especially my situation. I think they’re trying to have fun with it.”

The NFL issued a statement, via People, responding to Kelce’s comments. “We frequently change our bios and profile imagery based on what’s happening in and around our games, as well as culturally,” the statement read. “The Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce news has been a pop cultural moment we’ve leaned into in real time, as it’s an intersection of sport and entertainment, and we’ve seen an incredible amount of positivity around the sport.”
