Moises Caicedo agent makes transfer claim

Moises Caicedo’s agent has hinted that Liverpool were always unlikely to sign his client.

The Reds tabled a British record £111m bid for the young midfielder in the summer, which was accepted by Brighton, but a deal failed to materialise. Instead, Chelsea submitted an improved £116m offer and led Caicedo to join the west London club.

Speaking about Caicedo’s decsion to sign for Chelsea, agent Andrea Pellegatti told Sport Italia:
“It was finalized in the last few hours, but the boy only wanted Chelsea, who had started to show their interest consistently since January.”
