But in a new video, the mum-of-six shares what happened when she ‘dissected’ the back of her sofa.

Rather than the remote, Kacie was instead met with 13 years worth of snacks, toys and rubbish that had fallen between the cushions.

During the 23-second video, Kacie is seen slicing open the bottom of the back of her three-seater sofa.

As she pulls the material apart, a huge hoard of food wrappers, phone chargers and kids’ toys are seen hiding inside.

In the background, her partner can be heard saying: “Oh my god, what is…that’s disgusting!”

Below the video, she wrote: “When you go hunting for the remote and end up performing emergency surgery on your sofa…only to find the most dreadful abyss that is 13 years of raising children.”

She added: “#sendhelp #kidsaregross #luckytheyrecute.”

In another video, Kacie lists what she found. She said: “What was in the couch, you ask?

“Goldish, so many Goldfish. Fruit snacks.

“Hair ties, that’s where they go. A couple of bras.

“Some toddler clothes, I do not have toddlers anymore.

“What else? Two remotes.

“Superman. If you’re wondering, that’s where he’s been all this time. Lots of other figurines.

“Hot Wheels cars. Barbie shoes, small but mighty.

“A bunch of kids’ stuff.”

Her discovery attracted plenty of attention online, gaining more than 383,000 likes and 3.8 million views.

In the comments, Kacie’s followers shared their reactions, with one writing: “It’s like a time capsule.”

Another said: “Wait do a couch haul! What’s in there???”

A third added: “Congrats, you are gonna start a trend, couch cesarean sections.”

Someone else put: “There’s at least $50 in change in that couch.”
