4 Recent Disasters That Now Threaten Dwayne Johnson’s $800 Million Net Worth: XFL Loss, Vin Diesel Drama And More
Just 200 Million dollars shot of achieving Billionaire status, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson might never be able to reach the milestone. Counted among the most successful celebrities in Hollywood and even regarded by admirers as America’s Future President, Dwayne Johnson’s life lately has been a series of some very unfortunate events.
Dwayne Johnson’s life has been a disaster latelyFrom his failed venture to becoming DC’s next big thing to his XFL league losing out $60 Million in just a single season, Dwayne Johnson’s $800 Million net worth is at risk of decline.
Black Adam’s Miserable Performance At Box Office
Black Adam was a financial failure
Dwayne Johnson had high hopes from his DC debut as the superhero Black Adam. Thinking the movie’s weak storyline would have been overlooked by his star stature, Johnson could not have been more wrong. DC’s Black Adam made just $393 Million against a budget of $260 Million along with $80 Million or so in the global marketing campaign. To make the break, the movie would have needed to earn at least $600 million which it failed to do so.
Black Adam was a financial disaster despite Johnson’s claims about the movie’s excellent performance. And with James Gunn in charge of the DC-verse, Dwayne’s hope to take on the Krypton hero, Superman, has hit rock bottom.
Dwayne Johnson’s XFL Disaster
Johnson’s failed venture as XFL owner
With high hopes, Dwayne Johnson had taken over the ownership of XFL, a minor American football league, over a year ago. However, it seems Dwayne Johnson has failed miserably, again, since the league lost over 60 million dollars in just one season. The situation got so out of hand that Johnson and the rest of the ownership had to cut off certain jobs to manage the league.
With reports that the second season of XFL might even out the losses, it seems doubtful whether Johnson would lead to its downfall or make it a success.
Dwayne Johnson’s Return To The Fast & Furious Franchise
Dwayne Johnson called Vin Diesel manipulative after their feud
For anyone mildly interested in show business, it is impossible that they would not know about the very public feud between Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel. Earlier quoted as saying that he had no chance of returning to the Fast & Furious franchise and calling Vin Diesel manipulative, Johnson is all set to make his return.
His return has resulted in fans calling him a hypocrite, cheat, and a liar which would certainly, substantially affect his illustrious career.
Dwayne Johnson’s Young Rock Canceled
More bad news for Johnson as Young Rock canceled
A sitcom dedicated to the thriving life of Dwayne Johnson, Young Rock has just been dropped by NBC. Starring as the future version of himself in the series, Dwayne Johnson’s life continues to be disaster after disaster recently. With critics calling it cancellation of Young Rock the nail in the coffin of Dwayne’s career, there does not seem to be much in store for the future of the WWE superstar.
Despite it all, Dwayne Johnson continues to be a bankable star and the most admired celebrity. It is worth a wait to see whether the superstar would be able to make his comeback or keep losing it all.
