Although the first xXx movie did decent numbers, the second one plummeted at the box office and was also bashed by the critics. But after 12 years, the actor joined forces with Indian A-list actor, Deepika Padukone, to revive the franchise with the release of xXx: Return of Xander Cage.
Even though the movie failed to score high among critics, it did decent at the box office and also gave Diesel’s costar a strong start in Hollywood. And it seems like her acting career, Padukone’s love life was also pretty great even before she found her footing in the industry.

Although Deepika Padukone is yet to make her return to Hollywood, considering it has been over 6 years since the Vin Diesel-led project hit the theatres, it seems her wait is almost over. According to reports, the actress is set to lead an untitled cross-cultural romantic comedy, which is currently being developed by STXfilms and Temple Hill, which is known for crafting the Twilight franchise. Reflecting on the subject, chairman of STXfilms Motion Picture Group, Adam Fogelson, explained,
“There is a reason Deepika is one of the biggest global stars to come from India. She is enormously talented with an infectious personality and her profile continues to grow as an international superstar,”
