Brie Larson Said ‘Fast X’ Action Scenes Can’t Ever be ‘Captain Marvel’ Level: “I have extreme power”
Brie Larson is set to beat up some goons by herself in the latest entry of the Fast and Furious franchise in the role of Tess, the daughter of Mr. Nobody. Although the actress is not new to crafting action sequences, following her experience in the Superhero genre, adjusting to a more grounded approach to action scenes was a new experience for her.
Even though the Marvel star had a blast filming Fast X, on her quest of shifting from the MCU to Fast and Furious, the actress had to temper her expectations regarding the action sequences.
Brie Larson as Captain Marvel
Brie Larson had to lower her expectations for action scenes in Fast X
Although witnessing characters pulling off impossible tasks is now a common occurrence in the Fast and Furious movies, things are still a bit grounded in comparison to the Superhero genre. And considering that Brie Larson played the role of one of the strongest Avengers in the MCU, the actress had to lower her expectations regarding action sequences in Fast X. The Captain Marvel star explained her adjustment to filming more grounded action sequences by stating,
“I had to make an adjustment because really the only fight sequences I had done, I have extreme power. If I punch, then someone’s on a ratchet flying across the room. So I had to learn to temper my expectations with this one — to just go down. Like, don’t fly to outer space. I was like, ‘That’s weird.’”
Even though the power level of her character might not be on the same level as her MCU counterpart, that didn’t stop her from having an absolute blast while working on Fast X.
Fast X (2023)
Brie Larson had a delightful experience working on Fast X
Despite not having the power of wrecking spaceships in Fast X, Brie Larson didn’t regret working on the film. The Marvel star explained that working on her first Fast and Furious movie was a delightful experience and she had an amazing time filming her action scenes in the film. The actress further expressed her fascination for being part of the franchise and commended the movie by stating,
“I was just delighted the whole time… It’s very rare to have grown up with something, to have loved something, and to have observed it on a screen, and then to be inside of it, is a very surreal experience… It was so much fun. So much fun”

Despite the actress having an absolute blast filming the new installment in the franchise, the early reviews for the movie have mostly been mixed. But it seems like it did manage to provide an entertaining time for the fans and their families.
Fast X is currently running in theatres.
