Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson had quite the musical Thanksgiving.
The 51-year-old actor spent the holiday alongside wife Lauren Hashian and musician Eric Zayne, who previously performed the song “Exile” that was featured in Johnson’s movie Black Adam. (And Hashian, 39, directed the song’s music video!)
In a clip shared by Johnson to Instagram Friday, Zayne played the piano as Hashian sat on a chair next to him and they both belted out the lyrics to Billy Joel’s “Just the Way You Are,” with the actor joining in as he leaned over the top of the grand instrument.
“A lil’ Thanksgiving tickling of the ivorys 🎹 🎶 with the two beautiful voices and talents of @laurenhashianofficial & @ericzayne and me just making up lyrics to an all time classic 🥰🙋🏽♂️
@billyjoel 🐐,” Johnson wrote in his accompanying caption.
Zayne shared his own Instagram post featuring photos and videos from their gathering, including a hilarious clip of the musician “serenading” Johnson and footage of the trio performing other songs like Michael Jackson’s “Man in the Mirror.”
“When you know you know 😍 lol! Best #thanksgiving ever with @therock & his incredible family and friends,” Zayne began his caption.
“Couldn’t ask for more than to be serenaded by one of the best voices in the world @laurenhashianofficial. 🙏,” he continued. “Very grateful for all my blessings in my life and you @prettybtches_bychloe ♥️ I wish everyone a wonderful holiday!”
Wrote Johnson in a comment, “Maaan we had fun brother 🥃❤️ We love u and Chloe and just wait til we break out the mana … 😂🥃 Happy Thanksgiving.”
“Best Friendsgiving of all time! First one but won’t be the last ❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼,” Hashian wrote in her own comment. “Impromptu EZ karaoke was amazing 😂😂 Blessed by your gifts of music EVERY DAY! Blessed to have you in our lives!! 🙏🏼🧡🍃🍁❤️.”
Johnson and Hashian began dating in 2007 and later welcomed daughter Jasmine, who turns 8 next month, and Tiana, 5, before going on to tie the knot in 2019. (The Jungle Cruise actor is also dad to 22-year-old daughter Simone Johnson with ex-wife Dany Garcia.)
Last week, Johnson confirmed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that he will soon embark on production for the live-action adaptation of the 2016 Disney animated film Moana, in which he voices the character Maui.
He also shared that the “incredible” Hamilton director Thomas Kail will helm the upcoming project, with Lin Manuel-Miranda returning as a songwriter for all the original music featured in the animated version.
“I cannot wait. Here’s the thing, Jimmy, listen,” Johnson told host Jimmy Fallon before he grabbed a mic and broke into song with the lyrics to his character’s hit song “You’re Welcome.” (Fallon, 49, then joined in at the chorus.)
The live-action reimagining of Moana was first revealed to be in the works when Johnson announced the upcoming project during Disney’s 2023 shareholder meeting in April.
