The model revealed insights into her relationship with Justin Bieber in a game of “Spill Your Guts” on The Late Late Show with James Corden
Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber are living in newlywed bliss!
The model, 22, appeared on the The Late Late Show with James Corden on Wednesday night to promote the upcoming season of TNT’s Drop the Mic, which she hosts with Method Man, and along the way, she answered some pressing questions about her relationship with the pop star, 24. They secretly wed at a courthouse in September two months after getting engaged.
First she agreed to play a game of “Spill Your Guts” with the British comedian that required her to either answer a salacious question about herself or agree to eat some gross meat products.
When asked how much money she made for promoting the failed Fyre Festival, she responded, “I’m not going to say but it made for a very generous donation to charity,” revealing that she donated her earnings after the festival became a visible disaster.
Then, Corden asked her to rank three of her new husband’s hairstyle: his swoop from childhood, his longer locks and his dreads. After telling the audience, “I love the dreads, I thought they looked really cool,” — to which her host responded with, “Love is blind, kids” — she agreed to take a bite of some pig meat jelly.
Shortly after she chatted with Corden, alongside fellow guest Alicia Keys, about her relationship.
“Married life is awesome,” she began, adding that the biggest change has been “cohabitating with another human.”
Then Corden quipped that the best indication of strength of a relationship, more so than saying “I love you” to another person, is “sharing flatulence.” Baldwin’s response? “I agree.”
She also discussed how the Bieber household recently gained a new member.
“I do have a new little dog. His name is Oscar, he was my Christmas present. He’s a blonde Yorkie,” she told her hold. “He’s just a good little munchkin, but it’s so crazy when you’re responsible for any animal, you are so emotional over them.”
She continued: “I had an incident where I thought he got hurt because something happened to his leg and he was crying and crying and whimpering, and I started crying and I was like, ‘oh god tell me what happened,’ and it’s like, he’s a dog he can’t tell you what happened.
Her feelings were so strong that she took Oscar to the vet — which ended up being totally unnecessary.
“I was so scared for him!” she exclaimed. “He ended up being fine … The vet was like, ‘He’s totally fine, why did you even bring him here? He’s jumping up and down in the other room,’ and I’m like, ‘Because it was broken at the hotel,’” she wailed before adding, “He’s just so cute. I love him.”
The newlyweds appeared on the cover of March’s issue of Vogue, and for the interview they dished even more on married life. In their first photo shoot together as a married couple, which was shot by Annie Leibovitz, they look madly in love.
Baldwin glowed in a classic, cream-colored Prada dress with beaded design work, boasting a bare face, stud earrings by Tiffany & Co. and hair flowing down her back — with her engagement ring front and center.
And the singer stripped down and dressed in nothing but a pair of dark Dior shorts and white sneakers, showing off the tattoos covering his body.
This shoot came with a long-awaited interview, where the couple finally gave fans what they’ve been wanting: an exclusive scoop on their love, what their marriage is like and what they hope for the future.
One of the biggest reveals is that they waited until marriage to have sex, Bieber told Vogue, citing religious commitment.
“[God] doesn’t ask us not to have sex for him because he wants rules and stuff,” he said. “He’s like, ‘I’m trying to protect you from hurt and pain.’ I think sex can cause a lot of pain. Sometimes people have sex because they don’t feel good enough. Because they lack self-worth. Women do that, and guys do that.”
“I wanted to rededicate myself to God in that way because I really felt it was better for the condition of my soul,” Bieber added. “And I believe that God blessed me with Hailey as a result. There are perks. You get rewarded for good behavior.”
PEOPLE first confirmed a cover was in the works in December when they were seen participating in a photo shoot in a park in Los Angeles.
“It was the first photo shoot of them together as a married couple. It will be the cover of Vogue,” a source close to Bieber told PEOPLE at the time. “They wanted to do the cover as a celebration of their love.”
The insider added that the couple will also do an interview because “they want to share with everyone how happy they are, how they make their marriage work and their plans for the future.
A photographer at the shoot also revealed some details, telling PEOPLE, “The shoot was all day. Both Justin and Hailey were super into taking the pictures. They did multiple outfit changes. Hailey looked so gorgeous, and Justin looked very happy. It was a fun and playful shoot. She was doing cartwheels, and they were both laughing a lot.”
