Hailey Bieber is blasting the “twisted and perpetuated” narrative pitting her against Selena Gomez.
The 26-year-old model, who is married to Gomez’s ex Justin Bieber, addressed the ongoing feud rumors during an appearance on Bloomberg’s “The Circuit with Emily Chang” earlier this week.
“I don’t think that this is about me, Hailey Bieber, and Selena Gomez. This is not about this pitting between two women and division between two women,” she said.
“It’s about the vile, disgusting hatred that can come from completely made-up and twisted and perpetuated narratives. That can be really dangerous.”
The Rhode Skin founder added that the negativity is an “opportunity to really stand for bringing people together.”

She explained, “I’m not OK with the kind of division that it caused. I don’t like this whole idea of ‘team this person’ and ‘team that person’ — I’m just not about that.”
Gomez, 30, dated Justin, 29, on and off for nearly eight years before they broke up for good in March 2018.
Months later, the “Sorry” singer tied the knot with Hailey that September, which has since sparked allegations that she “stole” Justin from the Rare Beauty founder.

Hailey told Bloomberg that it’s “disappointing” that people believe they would be fighting over a man.
“I’ve hated it since the beginning. And I think that kind of goes back to a little bit of just being misunderstood,” she explained.
“I keep having to say, and we keep having to say, that there is no issue and there is no problem. It’s so disappointing that people still behave this way over a man. It’s the world we live in unfortunately.”

The model expressed similar sentiments about the rumored feud earlier this month when she urged her fans to stop leaving “nasty comments” on the “Only Murders in the Building” star’s social media posts.
“If you’re leaving mean or rude comments on my behalf on anyone’s posts, just know that I don’t want that, nor do I ever or will I ever support or condone hateful, mean, or nasty comments,” she shared via her Instagram Story.
“Doing that is not supporting me. If you are participating in that you are a part of a culture that I want no part of. Please be nice or don’t say anything.”

Gomez also weighed in on the online chatter in March when she condemned fans who were making “death threats” against Hailey.
“Hailey Bieber reached out to me and let me know that she has been receiving death threats and such hateful negativity,” the “Calm Down” songstress posted at the time.
She added that she doesn’t condone “hate or bullying” at all. “I’ve always advocated for kindness and really want all this all to stop,” she concluded.
