Celebrities often have to sit through awkward interviews when the hosts are simply not being professional. However, sometimes the tables get turned and it’s the interviewer who is left feeling uncomfortable. We cannot think of a better example of this than when Fast & Furious star Vin Diesel appeared for an interview with a Brazilian YouTuber.

Viewers could easily notice the uncomfortable look on YouTuber Carol Moreira’s face, even though she tried her best to stay professional. Despite the heavy flirting from Vin Diesel’s side, Carol Moreira often tried to change the subject by asking him questions. After the interview was said and done, she posted a video on her channel addressing the ordeal.Vin Diesel Made an Interviewer Extremely Uncomfortable

The above-mentioned unprofessional behavior on Vin Diesel’s part began when the topic of Saving Private Ryan was brought up. Going off track, Diesel couldn’t help but compliment Carol Moreira’s physical appearance saying things like “God, you’re so beautiful…God, she’s so beautiful…I mean look at her.”
Had he ended his “compliments” right there and there, the comments could have been passed off as genuine. However, the actor simply couldn’t hold back as his very obvious flirting increased bit by bit, making Moreira more and more uncomfortable.
While Moreira tried to divert his attention away from her appearance and back toward the interview, Diesel was not budging. He continued making comments like,
“Man, she’s so f*cking s*xy. I can’t do this interview…Tell me your story. Let’s get out of here. Let’s go. Let’s have lunch…Guys, really? Look how beautiful she is. You guys think this is a joke. How am I supposed to sit here when I’m looking at such beauty? She’s so beautiful. I’m in love. I’m in love with the interviewer!”
Moreira laughed off Diesel’s comments during the interview as she maintained her composure and tried to stay professional. However, while posting the interview on her channel, she began by calling out Diesel’s behavior. Translated from Portuguese, Moreira said,
“He began to hit on me in the middle of the interview, say that I was pretty, and he interrupted the interview three times to talk about it. I was laughing, completely uncomfortable. I just laughed because it was a very delicate situation. I did not like it. At the time I did not know how to react, but you will see that I was uncomfortable, it was not nice that he interrupted my work.”
It looks like the Fast & Furious actor couldn’t step on the brakes at the right time, which caused him to receive backlash from viewers who were almost as uncomfortable as Moreira while watching the unnecessary flirting.
Vin Diesel Says He Was Trying to Keep Things “Fun”

After the actor received unending backlash for his actions, he took to Facebook to give a clarification. He posted an uncut version of the interview and stated that it was not his intention to offend anyone and that he was simply trying to keep things fun and playful.
“As you know, I try to keep my interviews playful and fun, especially when I’m in the Xander zone…But if I offended anyone, then let me apologize because that it never my intention.”
Clearly, Moreira was not feeling the “playful and fun” environment that Diesel was trying to create.
