“I wasn’t strong enough”: Fast & Furious Star Vin Diesel Recalled the Only Time He Broke Down On Set, Believed He Lost His Other Half
Ten movies are already on the shelves and still counting, it’s hard to imagine the Fast & Furious franchise without Vin Diesel. The Fast & Furious kicked off the franchise back in 2001 and it had everything in the package that can make it look like a cool action movie. However, the thing that changed from Fast and Furious 2 is the increase in bromance and talking about bromance what’s bigger than the duo of Brian ’o Conner A.K.A Paul Walker and Dominic Toretto A.K.A Vin Diesel.
Indeed, it has been long years now, since we lost one of the most loved Hollywood actors, Paul Walker, and there is no hiding that his demise back in 2013 made every fan cry but the one who was most impacted was the 56-year-old Hollywood actor, Vin Diesel. It shows their off-screen friendship as well.

Vin Diesel Couldn’t Believe He Lost His Other Half To A Crash
When Paul Walker passed away back in 2013, Vin Diesel completely felt lost and said that he lost a best friend. Just after the accident was reported Vin Diesel straight away went to meet his best friend’s family members and got emotional in there due to which he also shared a post on his official Facebook account stating.
“His mother hugged me and said I am so sorry… I said sorry? You’re the mother who lost a son?” Diesel shared in a post on Facebook. “She said yes, but you lost your other half…”
The Fast and Furious star also shared with the media that while filming Furious 7 the shooting of the barbecue scene at the end made him so emotional that he couldn’t shoot it at once and he had to step down from the sets many times. During an interview with USA Today Vin Diesel did reveal that.
“I had never done a barbecue scene without him,” further saying “And I just cracked and broke down and had to walk off set to collect myself. That was the only time I wasn’t strong enough to keep it together.”
Seeing the Fast & Furious Star couldn’t hold back up the whole star cast, and the film crew decided to pay homage to one of the protagonists of the Fast and Furious franchise. This is how both the outro dedicated song and the ending scene of Furious 7 came out and the rest is history.

Fast & Furious Without The Vin Diesel And Paul Walker Bond
Real-life bonding in Hollywood is a rare sight but Vin Diesel and Paul Walker made us believe that if it’s done right, it can go a long way. The passion for cars, money, and actions is what made the Fast and Furious franchise what it is today. However, the missing of the late Fast and Furious actor hasn’t been left out yet.
Vin Diesel and Paul Walker from Fast 5
During an interview post-Furious 7, when he was asked about how it is going on without Paul Walker, he said.
“There wasn’t a day, there wasn’t a scene, there wasn’t a second where I didn’t have Paul with me in the making of this movie. It’s not making the movie without Paul, it’s, ‘What’s life like? What’s living like without Paul?’ “
This shows how tough it has been for both the actor and the filmmaker to fill in the shoes of Paul Walker after he left.
There’s no doubt that Paul Walker is still missed and every time a new film comes out from the Franchise Fast and Furious it brings tears to every fan’s eye knowing there won’t be the late Hollywood star. Fast X recently came out and it did receive quite mixed reviews, hope it ends on a good note, even though Brian o’ Connor will always be missed as there are no more last rides.
