Jodie Turner-Smith files for divorce from husband Joshua Jackson and asks for joint custody of daughter Janie, 3

JOSHUA Jackson has reportedly been served divorce papers by his wife, Jodie Turner-Smith.

The former Dawson’s Creek star and the British model had been married since 2019.

Jodie filed, citing irreconcilable differences, according to TMZ.

The site reported that Jodie asked for joint custody of their three-year-old daughter, Janie.

There is also said to be a prenuptial agreement in place.

She previously spoke about their first time meeting, while on Late Night with Seth Meyers, saying: “When I first met my husband, it was kind of — we had a one-night stand. We’re in a two, three-year one-night stand now.

“First of all, I saw him before he saw me, and when I saw him, I was like, ‘I want that.’

“And then when he saw me, I just pretended like I didn’t see him.”

She said about her husband: “I think it’s really beautiful to be with someone who is so supportive and so loving,

“We’re so similar in so many ways. We’re like mirrors for each other. And I just really love that human being.”

The actress shared further details, even adding that she was wearing a cheeky graphic tee that played a role in her meeting Jackson.

“I was wearing this T-shirt from a movie called Sorry to Bother You and Tessa Thompson plays a character called Detroit, and she has this T-shirt that says, ‘The Future is Female Ejaculation.’

“And so he shouts across the room, ‘Detroit!’

“He comes over and … does this really cute, charming thing that he does and just all night — he just basically followed me around the party.”

The couple’s only child, daughter Janie, was born in April, 2020.

A month later, The Mighty Ducks star paid tribute to Jodie on Mother’s Day writing: “I want to thank you for the being the light that you are.

Alongside a picture of Jodie holding their little girl, he shared: “For the passion with which you threw yourself into nurturing and protecting our child when she was in your womb. For the dedication and will you showed bringing her into the world.”

He went on: “I am humbled more and more every day by that. I love you. I love seeing you enter the pantheon of mothers. And I look forward to walking this path by your side as we nurture this little engine of joy you have blessed the world with.”

Jodie also said of her own mother on the holiday: “Words cannot express how much you mean to me.

“You have always been a powerful woman and you have always been an excellent mother, but my journey into motherhood has only taken my appreciation of you to another level!
