What do you do when, like Justin Bieber, you are one of the biggest celebrities on the planet and have disposable income for days? Drop a casual $5K on recreating your wife’s longing texts, of course.

Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber

As reported by TMZ, Justin Bieber recently enlisted the help of independent resin art company Idiot Box Art, owned by Emily Bright and Tamara Martin and based out of West Hollywood, to commission a piece highlighting past messages his wife, Hailey Bieber, had sent him. The custom piece, which looks exactly like an iMessage text bubble, rang him back $5,000.

Idiot Box Art actually posted a behind-the-scenes look at the process of creating the piece, and we have to admit, it took way more effort than simply screenshotting the couple’s chat history. The artwork starts as a massive bare wood plank, then gets immediately transformed with a cute acrylic impression and a lot of resin. The resulting piece is pretty big, reaching three feet in both width and length.

“It’s important to show your loved ones they are appreciated. Justin Bieber hit us up recently to commission a gift for his wife Hailey,” the company shared in their post. “We’ve made a few text bubbles in the past, but this idea was so unique and thoughtful, a text message thread between him and his wife. As always, a pleasure, and thank you for trusting us with such a special piece.”

The message on the artwork reads: “I miss you. Miss your smile. Miss your laugh. Miss your hugs. Miss your kisses. Miss your jokes. Miss making love. Miss being in your arms.” Hailey accompanied the sweet message with a crying emoji, so it’s not quite a haiku, but hey, the emotion is there.

Per TMZ, Hailey sent Justin the message while she was away during one of her many work trips, and he planned to have it delivered at home just in time to gift it to her upon her return from Paris Fashion Week. Now, $5K is inarguably a lot of money, but we can’t deny the gesture is indeed sweet. Plus, if you are going to spend that much on a gift for your significant other, supporting small businesses is the way to go.
