Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber are owning the red carpet!
On Sunday, the close friends glammed up to attend the 2023 Academy Museum Gala at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles.
Supermodel Jenner, 28, sported a sheer red Fendi gown as the duo posed for a series of pictures together, while Bieber, 27, donned a black halter-neck sequin dress by Saint Laurent and matched her manicure to her outfit and clutch bag.
The Kardashians star later shared a snap of herself sipping a glass of wine in the floor-length gown on her Instagram Story and tagged the Italian fashion house.
The star-studded evening was attended by a host of other famous faces, including Salma Hayek, Eva Longoria, Selena Gomez and Leonardo DiCaprio.
Oprah Winfrey, Meryl Streep and Michael B. Jordan were also honored with awards, with Winfrey, 69, receiving the Pillar Award for exemplary leadership and support for the Academy Museum.
Like Bieber, Longoria, 48, also opted for sequins and sparkled in a strapless silver Dolce & Gabbana gown, while Gomez, 31, wore a black Valentino gown featuring silver sequin roses.
Jenner and Bieber have been close for over a decade after meeting at The Hunger Games premiere in 2012 and being introduced to each other by Kendall’s sister Kylie Jenner.
In a 2021 episode of Bieber’s YouTube series Who’s in My Bathroom? starring Kendall, Bieber opened up about how the pair’s friendship grew.
“You were friends with Kylie and then you realized that I was more fun,” said Kendall.
“Not necessarily,” the Rhode founder responded. “I love you both, but you and I became much closer because you started modeling and coming to New York all the time, and I lived in New York and you needed a friend.”
“Yeah, you were my only New York friend,” added Kendall.
“And boy, did we take that city by storm!” noted Bieber, who added of the duo’s bond, “What’s funny is I think people think we have this really abnormal friendship and we do all crazy s— together, when the reality is we just sit at home and drink wine or watch movies. It’s so normal, people don’t even understand how normal it is.”
