Selena Gomez wants to downplay those viral photos with her ex Justin Bieber’s wife, Hailey Bieber.
The actress said in a new interview that the pictures taken at last month’s Academy Museum of Motion Pictures were “not a big deal.”
“It’s not even a thing,” Gomez told Vulture while promoting her upcoming Apple TV+ documentary, “My Mind and Me.”
The “Only Murders in the Building” star, 30, and the model, 25, drove fans wild on Oct. 15 when they hugged it out at the starry event in Los Angeles.
Even Tyrell Hampton, who took the photos, seemed surprised by the duo’s friendly display, writing on Instagram, “plot twist.”

The unexpected hangout occurred just weeks after Hailey said on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast that there was “no drama” between her and Gomez, who dated Justin, 28, on and off from 2010 to 2018.
“It’s all respect,” she said in September, confirming that she and the former Disney Channel star had spoken.
“It’s all love. Neither of us owe anybody anything except respect. I respect her a lot, and I think there are no expectations [between us]. I respect her.”

The former “Drop the Mic” co-host went on to praise her husband for “clos[ing] a chapter” with Gomez before they got engaged in July 2018 and quietly tied the knot two months later.
“[Fans] wish he ended up with someone else, and that’s fine,” she said of the “Baby” singer. “You can wish that all you want, but that’s just not the case.”

Hailey also clarified that she never “stole” Justin from the “Love You Like a Love Song” singer.
Although Gomez did not directly respond to the podcast interview at the time, she did speak about the importance on “kind words” in a TikTok video the following day.
“Words matter, truly matter,” the “Wizards of Waverly Place” alum said.
