Selena Gomez killing the game one leather look at a time

Selena Gomez proved she’s fierce in every way on Thursday night as she accepted her award for Billboard’s 2017 Woman of the Year. In addition to stunning the audience with her heartfelt acceptance speech honoring her BFF and kidney donor, Francia Raisa, the 25-year-old singer also blew everyone away with her sexy statement outfit.

Gomez continued her trend of wearing leather on the red-carpet with a pair of high-waisted leather trousers that featured sexy cut-outs up and down her legs and cool gold zipper hardware at the ankles. She adorned her Versace pants with a Western-inspired gold buckled belt that paired nicely with her gold embellished strappy heels. To complete her look, the “Wolves” singer opted for a strapless black top that highlighted her cleavage with scalloped edging.

The actress rocked her new blonde hue, which she debuted at the American Music Awards, by pulling it into a messy up-do that featured pretty curls framing her face. But ultimately Gomez let her outfit have the spotlight by keeping her accessories and makeup to a minimum—a simple pair of gold hoops and a nude lip pull the look together.

At Billboard’s Women in Music event, Gomez sobbed as she received the award from Raisa and thanked her for saving her life when she needed a kidney transplant due to her lupus. “I think Francia should be getting this award,” the singer said breaking down in tears. “She saved my life… I feel incredibly lucky.”

“Honestly, I couldn’t be more grateful for the position that I’ve been given in my career from 7 to 14 to now. I want people to know that I respect the platform that I have so deeply because I knew that I wanted to be a part of something great, I wanted people to feel great,” Gomez continued to say in her speech.

The star also alluded to creating new music in her near future. “I don’t know how I’ll repay it, maybe I’ll make an epic album for you guys and everyone else,” Gomez said to conclude her speech.
