Selena Gomez’s Diet for a Sexy Figure

In her meals, Selena Gomez prioritizes organic foods, salads, and drinking plenty of water, and adds green tea on busy days.

Selena Gomez is a versatile artist who has played many roles, including singer, actress, and film producer. She also has her own cooking show, Selena + CHEF, where the beauty and famous chefs create simple, healthy dishes. Selena shared that her experiences with eating and cooking in general inspired the show, which helped the star have a healthier lifestyle.

The owner of the hit ‘Lose You to Love Me’ said she focuses on fresh, high-quality ingredients, whole foods, and organic fruits and vegetables. After a period of fighting lupus and bipolar disorder, she rarely cared about her weight but spent more time focusing on how she felt when eating.

In an interview with Cosmopolitan, Selena revealed a three-meal-a-day and one snack menu to keep her body healthy and flexible.

Breakfast

For breakfast, the singer usually eats a burrito with scrambled eggs, chorizo sausage, Manchego cheese, and Piquillo peppers from Spain. If she feels like eating sweet, she chooses Greek yogurt and granola (a mixture of oats, nuts, and honey).

The 11th century Turkish medical literature evaluated yogurt for its effectiveness in treating conditions such as diarrhea and stomach cramps. From a scientific perspective, this effect of yogurt comes from millions of digestive enzymes that, when ingested, create an environment conducive to the growth of beneficial bacteria.

Greek yogurt provides many nutrients, rich in protein, vitamin B12, riboflavin (B2), and selenium. It is also a good source of calcium, phosphorus, zinc, pantothenic acid, vitamin A, and potassium.

For lunch, Selena usually eats rice with salad. She believes that protein is the key to providing energy on busy days. This is also a way for the singer to always feel healthy with a busy tour schedule. Selena’s favorite salad is chicken, grapes, and celery salad or turkey, avocado, beans, and homemade dressing.

In addition, Amy Rosoff Davis, Selena’s personal trainer, said she drinks a lot of water throughout the day, and drinks more green tea when she lacks energy.

According to experts, drinking enough water keeps electrolytes in balance. When humans do not drink enough water, the serum sodium concentration increases, activating the water-saving mechanism, causing the kidneys to excrete urine in a more concentrated form. Meanwhile, green tea can reduce the risk of cancer, improve brain health, and support weight loss.

Dinner

For dinner, Selena limits herself from eating too much. She usually chooses a bowl of rice with teriyaki salmon or Asian-marinated chicken, served with cucumbers. In the latest season of Selena + CHEF, she also shared some new recipes for dinner meals such as honey chicken bread, sweet chili beans, and prosciutto-wrapped dates.

Selena believes that snacking is not good for health, but on busy days, she allows herself to have snacks. She likes Cheetos chips and chocolate. Behind the scenes of filming, she eats pickles, mangoes, and lemons.
