Music’s “Anti-Hero” is poised to be the reigning champ at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards.

Stockpiling an impressive eight nominations, including the coveted “Video of the Year” moon-person, Taylor Swift, 33, leads the pack with the most nods ahead of this year’s ceremonies.

The “Lover” luminary previously reached MTV megastar status by becoming the only musician to ever take home three “VOTY” wins in 2022.

MTV’s annual celebration of chart-toppers, showstoppers and jaw-droppers will yet again broadcast live from Newark, New Jersey’s famed Prudential Center on Tuesday, Sept. 12 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT.

The show’s host has not yet been announced.

And although “Swifties” fanatics will undoubtedly be holding their breaths in hopeful anticipation that she enjoys a spotlight night, any of the blond’s formidable contenders could easily steal the show.

Close on the Eras Tour chanteuse’s heels is “Kill Bill” songstress SZA, 33, who also has eyes on the “VOTY” trophy, with a staggering six noms.

Doja Cat, Kim Petras, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Olivia Rodrigo and Sam Smith have each racked up five nominations. BLACKPINK, Diddy and Shakira individually boast four laudable acknowledgements.

However, should Swift best her musical peers in all of her categories, the 14-time VMAs victor will unseat pop icon Madonna, 64 — who’s collected 20 moon-people over the past four decades — as the second winningest performer of all time with 22 silvery statues.

As it stands, Beyoncé, 41, who’s up for “Artist of The Year,” is the most awarded VMAs artist with a grand total of 26 solo wins, including the 2014 Video Vanguard award.

But MTV’s forthcoming fête won’t only favor the legends.

For the first time in VMAs history, a record-breaking 35 new artists have been tapped as first-time nominees. Newcomers to the awards show annals include Ice Spice, 23, Burna Boy, 32, Lauren Spencer Smith, 19, and Saucy Santana, 29.
