John Cena must be the subject of envy amongst his fellow Fast & Furious crew members.

The Fast & Furious franchise has been a global sensation for over two decades now. A mosaic of incredible action sequences and familial trysts, the street-racing saga has been considered to be perhaps one of the most exorbitant franchises there ever was. No wonder its ensemble cast gets paid millions of dollars as remuneration. But Cena, who was welcomed into the action-riddled family back in 2021, has been faring exceptionally well, nearly just as much, if not the same, as some of the oldest lead actors in the franchise.

Fast & Furious – A Legacy of Epic Action And Family

There are a number of action franchises that are indelibly remarkable and continue to remain evergreen, and Fast & Furious is a prime example of the same. Encompassing blockbuster films that went on to spawn a franchise worth a whopping $6.62 billion, Fast & Furious wears the crown of one of the longest-running film series in cinema history.

While flipping jaw-dropping cars in the air and executing thrilling heists have obviously kept fans hooked on the Fast & Furious movies, a huge chunk of its charm can be attributed to the star cast that has been a part of the franchise for over two decades. So, it’s not surprising that the actors get paid a sizeable figure for their long-standing loyalty to the franchise. But what is shocking is how generously Vin Diesel seems to be recompensating even those who’ve just recently joined the crew.

It looks like family gets rewarded handsomely no matter what. Ask John Cena, and he’ll agree.

John Cena is Earning Millions After Just 2 Fast & Furious Movies

The professional wrestler joined the Fast & Furious family only a couple of years back with F9: The Fast Saga introducing him as Jakob Toretto, Dominic and Mia Toretto’s estranged brother. Banished from the family after being responsible for their father’s death, Jakob enters the 2021 film as the primary antagonist, ultimately wounding up as the anti-hero.

For his role in F9, Cena received a fat paycheck of $1 million, which is a phenomenal feat on his part since some of the older castmates were paid along the same lines; in comparison to the Peacemaker star’s salary who was a newcomer to the franchise, Michelle Rodriguez (Letty Ortiz) and Tyrese Gibson (Roman Pearce), accumulated $2 million and $1.5 million, which if you think about it, isn’t an awful lot considering how long they’ve been the faces of the franchise for.

Now, Cena, 46, is all set to return to the big screens in the tenth and what is believed to be the final installment in the Fast & Furious series. And the WWE icon has bagged a total of $2 million for the forthcoming venture, which is a million more than what Gibson is getting for the film.

Cena is definitely having a field day with his salary.
