What happened to “unconditional” love?

Katy Perry

Katy Perry fans were roaring their displeasure Sunday after the singer promoted a music video on her Instagram that wasn’t her own.

Some of Katy Perry’s die-hard fans roared their displeasure after the embattled “American Idol” judge recently promoted a music video on social media that wasn’t her own.

The clip, which belonged to “Idol” alum Michael J. Woodard, promotes the Season 16 contestant’s new single “Face.” The post appeared on her Instagram over the weekend

“This video is giving FACE,” reads Perry’s caption. “@michaeljwoodard just dropped a new song that’s out now!”

Perry’s promo provoked a “Hot N Cold” reception from fans.

“Stop sharing people’s songs start sharing your news gurl,” an exasperated follower exclaimed.

“YOUR FANS ARE BEGGING FOR NEW MUSIC,” another sassed.

“For the love of God release something that’s not a shoe collection or mocktails,” still another commenter challenged.

Woodard, 25, on the other hand, flipped for the “Last Friday Night” singer’s free publicity.

“So excited it’s finally out! love you,” he enthused.

Other fans appreciated the move — and encouraged Perry to ignore the angry mob.

“Katy you really have some vibe and flavor that’s unique to your personality,” said one.

“Love you Katy,” another admirer gushed. “Take all the time you need. You’re a busy girl who has a family! Cut her some slack guys!”

One armchair social media analyst pronounced that Perry’s account had now entered its “flop era.”

According to one fan, Perry’s account has entered its “flop era.”Getty Images for Tiffany & Co.

“Omg you keep sharing your shoes, drinks, and other people’s music … and recently your Instagram post is a flop,” the user savaged. “I wonder do you have a team to manage your social media because if you continue doing this, look at those numbers on your post it’s serious.”

This is not the first time Perry, 38, has generously promoted someone else’s music on her account.

Last week, the “Idol” judge shared a clip from Cynthia Nabozny, who opened for Perry during her “Witness” tour. Fans were similarly divided over the move.

Perry’s last official album, dubbed “Smile,” was released in 2020.

The Post reached out to Perry for comment.

Fans speculate that the disappearance of the “Part of Me” songstress on social media might be connected to the singer’s tumultuous year on “Idol.”

Perry has been the subject of several social media rants and nasty comments over her provocative — and possibly “rude” — coaching methods during the show’s 21st season.

Viewers fumed after the “Dark Horse” singer seemingly mom-shamed Sara Beth Liebe, 25, who quit the show after saying she wanted to spend more time with her three children.

Perry further annoyed fans when she was seemingly “dismissive” of a contestant when one of her favorite competitors was eliminated and then proceeded to wage what some referred to as “psychological warfare” on the others.

The “I Kissed a Girl ” crooner then managed to escape the ire of fans after being briefly replaced with Alanis Morissette.

Hoping that Morissette would not be “the one that got away,” fans attempted to create a petition begging the “Jagged Little Pill” singer to stay permanently.

In May, Perry sent a “Firework” shooting across the internet when she claimed that “American Idol” producers “threw her under the bus” and intentionally edited footage to make her look like the “nasty” judge.
