Katy Perry is a total fuego “Teenage Dream” in her latest red ~lewk~, and she took this prime opportunity to show off her ultra-toned abs.

The “Smile” singer was serving as the keynote speaker for a fashion trade show at the Las Vegas Convention Center, and she certainly lived up to her fashionista reputation. Katy wore a red dress with cut-outs on the side, and suffice to say, she was total glam status. Add in her swept-back hair and sparkly heels, and she was definitely red carpet ready. And did I mention her rock-solid abs?!

Lucky for you, this pop star and mama has shared a little about how she hits her fitness goals.

For one, Katy likes to switch up her workouts, and she’s a big fan of hot yoga, which she says helps her keep her mind and body healthy. “I have had a dance with depression, and hot yoga helps clear it all out,” she told Prevention. “If you have a healthy body, it helps you have a healthy mind.”

She also likes plyometrics, which focuses on exerting force from muscles in short intervals. Imagine jumping and skater movements. “🏺sculpting🏺cc: @elliegoulding,” she previously captioned an Instagram video.

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Katy admitted that she actually isn’t the biggest fan of workouts at the gym, but she still goes roughly three to five times a week. (This interview was in 2021 ahead of her big residency in Las Vegas).

“My exercise routine is being half late to the workout because I hate working out. I’m always like, ‘I’m so late, too bad I can only do a few things.’ The guy who works me out is like, ‘Yeah, right,’” she told the WSJ.

Katy mostly focuses on strength training and weights in the gym, but she’d much rather get active outside with her family.

Katy and her partner Orlando Bloom (ever heard of him) take their daughter Daisy on hikes, which just sounds like a dream. Plus, it’s a great way to combine some cardio with fresh air and family fun.

“Orlando has one of those hiking backpacks that we can pop Daisy into; she loves it,” Katy said. Aww! Love a workout that is fun for the whole fam.

Katy also is sure to fuel up with nutritious foods. She told the WSJ that she and Orlando drink “healthy concoctions” before moving on to their morning coffee. They also have a Niacin flushing drink, that “makes us all red and gets the blood moving.” On other days, they’ll grab a simple glass of celery juice.

For breakfast, Katy makes avocado toast or will snack on some of her daughter’s leftover fruit. For a more substantial meal, she’ll eat a breakfast burrito with hot sauce. “I’m not a huge breakfast person, so I usually wait for lunch, and with lunch, I’m all about the salad,” she added.
