Katy Perry channelled the King Of Rock And Roll Elvis Presley in stunning new promo shots for her upcoming Las Vegas residency, which kicks off this month.
The American Idol judge, 37, rocked a personalised jumpsuit which was clearly inspired by the late icon’s frequently-parroted stage ensembles – complete with rhinestone adornments and dramatic flared sleeves.
In a short video shared on Monday, she promoted the Play residency, which will see her begin performing in Sin City on December 29, 31 and January 1, along with five other dates throughout January and seven shows in March.
Rock on: Katy Perry, 37, looked ready to rock out as she channeled Elvis Presley in a white jumpsuit to promote her upcoming Las Vegas residency on Instagram on Monday
Katy’s suit featured flared sleeves and pointy shoulders, along with gold fringe running down her arms.
The plunging top highlighted her cleavage and was decorated with sequins and studs in the shape of playing card suits, while the best around her midriff read, ‘KP·LV,’ for Katy Perry and Las Vegas.
Katy’s white jumpsuit was clearly modeled on a variety of splashy white suits worn by Elvis from the late 1960s through the early 1970s.
Although he reinvigorated his career with a comeback TV special in 1968 in which he wore black leather, he cemented his return to the stage by wearing numerous white jumpsuits designed by Bill Belew.

Katy was surrounded by inky blackness in her stylish picture, and she carried a red electric guitar, even though they’re not prominently featured in her pop sets.
One image showed her turned around, highlighting the gold chains dangling from her belt over her pert derriere and the back of her top, which read, ‘Stay Fabulous.’
She wrote an accompanying caption reading: ‘Only 1️⃣ month until we can officially #PLAY# together at @resortworldlv!’
A short clip included in her post showed the Fireworks singer illuminated by flashbulb bursts as she dramatically flipped turned her head and strutted away.

She grabbed her guitar and walked into the darkness while the clip included closeup inserts of her jumpsuit.
The residency will likely heavily feature tunes from her 2020 studio album Smile, which was met with mixed reviews and poorer-than-usual sales for her.
The album was her first since 2008’s One Of The Boys that didn’t reach number one on the Billboard 200 albums chart, and it had completely fallen off the chart after four weeks.

The songstress will be returning early next year as one of the judges for the 20th season of American Idol.
On Tuesday, Katy took a break from promoting her residency to thank her fans for streaming her cover of The Beatles’ All You Need Is Love.
‘Pleased as punch that so many of you streamed my All You Need is Love track on @Spotify,’ she wrote to accompany a photo of her smiling with her eyes close in a pink sweater. ‘Because of it, @gap will be donating $100k to @baby2baby #GivingTuesday.’
