Cardi B is setting the record straight on her microphone-throwing incident.

As previously reported, the rapper found herself in hot waters back in July after a video captured her throwing her microphone at a fan who threw water on her while onstage. At the time, Cardi had asked fans to splash her down since she was hot but gave clear instructions not to get the water on her face. However, one fan didn’t listen and got a quick reaction by the “Be Careful” rapper.

Last month the star was listed as a suspect in the battery case for hurling her microphone at the concert-goer who told cops she was actually hit. Now, despite all that, Cardi is letting viewers know that she is not going to the slammer after all. While appearing on the Breakfast Club, she went into to more detail about the incident:

“It was really like a quick reaction,” Cardi B told Charlamagne Tha God. I didn’t want to address it because I thought a b*tch was going to jail but I’m not! People were making their own sh*t [up.] Let me tell you something… it was hot as f*ck. There was a part of the show that I told people ‘splash me.’ But even when I told them splash me I was like ‘be careful with the face. The face is beat b*tch.’”

Cardi went on to explain, “f*cking 4 songs after, which is like 15-20 minutes after, this b*tch threw water and ice on my face so I just automatically reacted. I didn’t even know I was throwing it at that direction… I just threw it. B*tch you hit me right in my face. When I look at the video I’m like ‘nah you intended to throw that sh*t in my face.’”

Before ending off on this topic, Cardi added, “f*cking throw some ice in your Motherf*cking face b*tch and you gonna tell me how the f*ck you feel b*tch cause I felt violated.”

During the interview Cardi B even had a little message for her haters:

In more positive Cardi B news, the rap start just dropped a new track and visual with Megan Thee Stallion for the song titled “BONG.” It’s been less than 24 hours since it premiered and fans are already loving it!
