This ρσσr dσg had her tσngue sliced intσ ρieces after licƙing a ρaρer shredder.

PIC FROM COUNTY VETERINARY CLINIC/MERCURY PRESS (PICTURED: RUBY THE BLACK LABRADOR) An unlucky pooch managed to get it's tongue stuck in a paper shredder after trying to eat some cat food that had fallen inside. The black Labrador, Ruby, eight, suffered horrific injuries to her tongue which had been divided into seven sections, each around an inch long, by the machine. Vets at County Veterinary Clinic, in Taunton, Somerset, couldn't believe the state of Ruby and operated on her immediately to stitch the tongue back together in a two hour long operation. Even though the tongue will never look 100 per cent the same again, Ruby's lucky she didn't get more of the tongue stuck and has made a full recovery. SEE MERCURY COPY
