If Selena Gomez and Francia Raisa ever did have a falling-out, it appears to have been short-lived.
In an August 11 Instagram story, Gomez posted a picture of the actors’ matching leopard-print heels from their night out. Raisa reposted the same photo to her own IG Stories, writing, “No beef, just salsa,” on top. On the bottom of the slide, Raisa added, referring to the matching footwear, “(This was not planned).”
Gomez also uploaded a picture of herself at a restaurant to her Stories, and Raisa uploaded a similar picture of herself sitting at what appears to be the same restaurant, judging by the lighting and decor.
This development surely comes as a relief to anyone who has been following the pair’s friendship and—rumored—feud. Back in 2017 Gomez, who has lupus, shared that Raisa had donated her kidney to the Only Murders in the Building star, which is the kind of selflessness that you have to imagine would bond people together for life. But then, years later, Gomez said in her documentary My Mind & Me that Taylor Swift was her “only friend” in the industry. Seeing the story on social media, Raisa commented, “Interesting.” This, of course, the rumor mill was off and running.
Recently Selena Gomez has apparently been working hard to put stories of their supposed rift to bed. In March, she called Raisa her “best friend” on an episode of the Apple TV+ documentary series Dear…, saying, “I will never ever, ever be more in debt to a person than Francia.” And on July 26, she wished her future and former bestie and kidney donor a happy birthday on her Instagram grid, along with a carousel of photos of the two of them. “Happiest of birthdays to this special human being. No matter where life takes us, I love you,” she wrote in the caption.
You know the old saying: Friends who share organs together stay together.
