Selena Gomez reveals she broke her hand tripping on her long summer dress: ‘This is not fun’

Selena Gomez has revealed the story behind her broken hand.

The singer, 31, admitted she sustained the injury after tripping on her long summer dress.

During an appearance on The Ellen K Morning Show, Selena confessed: ‘So I wish I had like a really cool story that I saved someone’s life or something. But I was in a long dress, it was a summer dress, and I was walking from my car to my house and tripped.

‘As a mother, I just want to say if you were my daughter, I would say thank God you didn’t break your teeth,’ host Ellen said.

‘Yes, that’s what the doctor said. I guess there is a silver lining. But this is not fun, this is not fun,’ Selena said.

It comes several days after Selena revealed she had broken her hand and had to undergo surgery for it.

The Calm singer followed that brief disclosure with, ‘I don’t care about selling anything. I’m just happy to make music with my friends.’

The Only Murders in the Building star didn’t go into any detail about which hand was broken, how it happened, or the extent of the injuries.

Single Now’s success may help Selena’s healing process.

It debuted at number two on the Spotify Global charts, right behind Miley Cyrus’ Used To Be Young.

In a Billboard poll on August 25, the day both Selena and Miley released their new singles, 42-percent of fans who responded picked Used to be Young as their favorite new music.

Selena’s tune about plotting to break up with her beau received 33-percent of the vote.
