The Someone Like You singer, 30, appeared to be engaging in a tense text exchange as she was snapped back in March – when she was believed to be living apart from her husband.

In resurfaced images, the mum-of-one kept her head firmly down and looked like she was fighting back tears as she stepped out in New York, sporting a long tartan jacket with padded sleeves.
She pulled her blonde locks into a casual bun, and wore minimal makeup as she was pictured alone amid her alleged relationship drama. The Hello hit-maker’s outing comes amid reports that she and husband Simon had been “living separate lives” in the run up to confirming their split on Friday.
“This is a very sad situation – Adele and Simon had been living separate lives for some time,” a source told The Sun.

In a short statement late on Friday night, the singer’s representatives confirmed: “Adele and her partner have separated.
“They are committed to raising their son together lovingly. As always they ask for privacy.”
