Avril Lavigne hasn’t aged a single day as she recreates her iconic Let Go album cover
In news that will surely make you feel ancient, it’s been 20 years since Avril Lavigne’s debut album Let Go was released.
Yep, 20 years ago you were singing your heart out to Sk8er Boi and 20 years later you still are. Who’d have thought?
We’ve touched on Avril’s youthful look before, but her latest Instagram picture might just be the evidence we need to prove that she is defying the laws of physics when it comes to ageing.
To mark the 20th anniversary, Avril recreated that iconic album cover in New York City and there is so little difference between her 17-year-old and 37-year-old self, it’s kind of astonishing.
To be frank with you, the biggest change in the two pictures is the street because the other thing that has come back around in those 20 years is the fashion.
Avril’s chunky black shoes and baggy black combat boots would not look out of place in our wardrobe now and of course she has remained true to her signature style, if not just a little more elevated.
Honestly, flicking through these pictures is like the best game of spot the difference you’ll ever play.
Even Avril’s hair hasn’t changed that much. Okay she’s blonder, but she has stayed true to her straighteners for all these years. Which begs the question which heat protectant is she using to keep it in such good condition?
Maybe we need to get Buffy out of retirement because this kind of eternal youth is notmally only seen in vampires.
