Avril Lavigne to perform in Croatia for first time
Lavigne has made history, broken records, and consistently paved her own way as an uncompromising force in the music industry. Her visit to Croatia is part of the tour for the acclaimed album “Love Sux,” where she returned to her early punk roots, opening yet another, perhaps her most daring, chapter in her career.
Having sold 40 million albums worldwide, Lavigne boasts eight Grammy nominations in categories such as “Best New Artist” and “Song of the Year.” She has also clinched eight Juno Awards, along with an MTV Music Award and a BRIT Music Award. Lavigne secured a spot in the Top 10 on Billboard’s “Best of the 2000s” chart and holds the Guinness World Record as the “youngest solo artist to top the UK chart.”
Her music video for “Girlfriend” became the first to reach 100 million views on YouTube.
Entering the music scene at the age of 16, the Canadian artist signed her first record deal and released her debut album, “Let Go” (2002), at 17. The album, with 16 million copies sold, became the best-selling Canadian album and the eighth best-selling album of the 21st century. Legendary hits like “Complicated,” “Sk8er Boi,” and “I’m With You” catapulted Avril to global stardom, earning her numerous nominations.

Undeterred, she continued her success with triple platinum for “Under My Skin” (2004), double platinum for “The Best Damn Thing” (2007), gold for “Goodbye Lullaby” (2011), gold for “Avril Lavigne” (2013), and “Head Above Water” (2019).
In 2022, Avril returned to the studio, embracing her punk roots and releasing the album “Love Sux.” The album received widespread acclaim, becoming her highest-rated album to date. Collaborating with artists like Machine Gun Kelly, Blackbear, Yungblud, Mark Hoppus of Blink-182, and producer Travis Baker, owner of DTA Records, which released the album, “Love Sux” showcased Avril’s evolution from pop-punk princess to the reigning pop-punk queen.
