Insomniac Games releases a brand-new update for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 that aims to fix a number of bugs and some other issues.

Insomniac Games has just released a new update for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 that fixes bugs and makes other improvements to the game. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 received extremely positive reviews upon its release, with a current score of 90 on Metacritic.

While Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 didn’t appear to have any game-breaking bugs, a few users did run into some issues while playing the game. As an example, a hilarious bug in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 turned Miles into a white cube, entirely replacing the character’s in-game model. Insomniac Games has released a few patches that aim to fix these issues, with update 1.001.005 now available on PS5.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s update 1.001.005 fixes a number of issues present in the game. For example, it fixes a bug that could result in NPCs spawning on top of each other in boats, in addition to situations where players could lose the ability to jump. An issue affecting the Hang Ten Trophy has now been fixed in this update, along with cases where inputs would not get registered properly. Several instances of players getting stuck in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s world have also been fixed in update 1.001.005.

Gamers get to play as MJ during specific missions in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and the new update provides fixes for situations where she could be defeated in one hit on harder difficulties. Finally, patch 1.001.005 addresses an issue that could result in corrupted saves, as well as improved stability for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Overall, the latest Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 update fixes a variety of issues and other bugs present in the game.

The previous Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 patch, update 1.001.004, also offered a number of bug fixes and other improvements. As an example, it addressed an issue that resulted in bosses getting stuck in geometry, along with cases where models would not load properly after fairly long gameplay sessions. While these updates don’t include any major features, Insomniac Games is working on adding New Game+ to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
