Mod Sun ‘grateful’ for ‘real friends’ as Avril Lavigne confirms Tyga romance
Mod Sun appears to be having a rough time since his ex-fiancée, Avril Lavigne, officially moved on with Tyga.
The “Flames” rocker took to Twitter Monday to express gratitude for his “real friends” who have been getting him through his trying breakup.
“I’m so grateful to have real friends who will sit on the phone with me for 2 hours,” he tweeted.
“If you got those people in your life, do not let them go.”

Fans flooded his responses with words of support, with one writing, “Keep your head up mod when you’re in the public eye it’s a lot harder.
“Don’t fall into a dark hole you have so many people to turn to. Sending all positive vibes out to you,” the message concluded.
Mod’s emotional message came as the “Complicated” singer confirmed her romance with Tyga by kissing him while out during Paris Fashion Week.

Until their smooch, the pair had merely been rumored to be an item as they had been spotted cozying up at various fashion shows.
Unfortunately, for Mod, it seems Lavigne moved on far earlier than the rocker. The “Sk8er Boi” singer’s rep confirmed to Page Six that the duo had called off their engagement –much to Mod’s surprise.
“They were together and engaged as of three days ago when he left for tour, so if anything has changed, that’s news to him,” his rep shared with us.
Shortly thereafter, the 35-year-old musician wrote on Instagram that he was “broken” over the split.

“In 1 week my entire life completely changed,” the rapper, whose real name is Derek Ryan Smith, wrote. “I just know there’s a plan for it all. I’ll keep my head up + always listen to my heart, even when it feels broken 💔.”
Smith then thanked his fans for supporting him as he pushes through the rest of his tour.
