Singer Ariana Grande has reportedly embarked on a new romance with her Wicked co-star Ethan Slater just two months after he split from his now-estranged wife Lilly Jay.

The 30-year-old singer has reportedly struck up a romance with her co-star Ethan Slater, just two months after he split from his now-estranged wife. But it isn’t the first time she’s gotten involved with a recently single guy.

Ariana started dating the late rapper Mac Miller in 2016, shortly after his breakup with his long-term girlfriend Nomi Leasure. She then moved on with comedian Pete Davidson just days after he split from Cazzie David. Dating coach Kate Mansfield has told The Mirror that Ariana’s dating patterns can be explained using “human psychology”.

“It is human psychology to want what we can’t have, but throw being a hyper-attractive and desirable celeb into the mix and we have the perfect ingredients for wanting the unavailable.

“Essentially, if you can have anyone, why wouldn’t you want something a little complicated and hard to get? Anyone else may seem boring.”

However, Kate warned choosing unavailable men repeatedly could be the sign of a deeper issue.

“If this pattern continues and repeats over years then it might be a deeper issue of childhood trauma, or low self esteem that is the real problem. It might seem a strange idea that a famous celebrity could have low-self esteem, but often it is true – the stardom, money and fame are often a cover for a fragile ego, and a need for huge levels of validation from the outside,” she told us.

After Ariana reportedly moved on with Ethan, his now-estranged wife Lilly Jay hit out at the singer as she said she is “not a girl’s girl”. Kate told us this doesn’t bode well for Ariana and Ethan’s romance.

“I think that relationships that start out from betrayal often end the same way, and with being in the public eye, it isn’t the best way to get public faith and support in the connection. Unfair as it may be, celebrities have an unspoken responsibility to be a good role model, and this simply isn’t it!” she told us.

While it is unclear when Ethan and Ariana are said to have started dating, a source told Page Six that Ethan and Lilly had been separated for two months prior.
