NFL fans are blaming Taylor Swift for the recent Kansas City Chiefs losing streak, with some even comparing her to Yoko Ono.

The pop icon, who is currently dating Chiefs star Travis Kelce, is being slammed by fans for “utterly destroy[ing] the Kansas City Chiefs.” The NFL team has lost three out of their last five games, all of which Swift was in attendance for.

“Taylor Swift is Yoko Ono-ing the Chiefs,” one person said on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.

Another added, “Taylor is the Yoko of the Chiefs.”

Taylor Swift Is Being Compared To Yoko Ono

Others wrote similar messages on social media, comparing Swift to Yoko Ono, who was blamed for breaking up The Beatles after marrying John Lennon.

“Taylor Swift = Yoko Ono,” one user simply wrote.

For those of you who are a bit on the younger side, Yoko Ono is blamed by some for breaking up ‘The Beatles’ after getting with John Lennon.

Sports analysts even got in on the discussion, blaming Taylor Swift for the way the Chiefs have been playing. “Feels like it’s about time to call Taylor Swift a distraction,” Skip Bayless said after Monday’s game. “What do you think, Patrick [Mahomes]? Andy [Reid]? How about you, Travis?”

In total, the Grammy-winning artist has attended eight Chiefs games thus far this season, with her first being on September 24, where the “Love Story” singer was spotted sitting next to Kelce’s mom, Donna. She also attended a Sunday Night Football game alongside Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, and Hugh Jackman earlier this season.

Her most recent game was on Christmas Day, where the Chiefs lost to the Raiders 20-14. Following the game, Swift was there to comfort her boyfriend as they were seen leaving Arrowhead Stadium hand-in-hand.

It is rumored that Taylor Swift will also attend the Chiefs game on New Year’s Eve when they take on the Cincinnati Bengals.

However, Swifites came to the pop icon’s defense as they said the comparison between Swift and Yoko Ono is absurd.

“People saying Taylor Swift is like Yoko Ono is so accurate because it’s a woman being blamed for a man’s ‘failures’ that she had literally nothing to do with,” one user added.

“I didn’t know Taylor Swift plays wide receiver for the Chiefs,” another person said.

As one user wrote, “Chiefs fans blaming Taylor Swift for this loss is ridiculous. Jessica Simpson, Giselle Bündchen, Ciara & now Taylor Swift have had fingers pointed at them for football losses. WOMEN ARE NOT TO BLAME FOR THE FAILURES OF MEN. Hold your team accountable, NOT women.”

Taylor Swift Is Unbothered By Annoyed NFL Fans

Earlier this month, Taylor Swift told Time that she does not know when the cameras are on her during the NFL games, and she is “just there to support Travis.”

“I don’t know how they know what suite I’m in,” she told the outlet. “There’s a camera, like, a half-mile away, and you don’t know where it is, and you have no idea when the camera is putting you in the broadcast, so I don’t know if I’m being shown 17 times or once.”

The “Love Story” singer has attended many Chiefs games to cheer on her boyfriend and the team. “I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads,” she added.
