She has been relatively quiet about her single status until now.
But Selena Gomez has finally divulged some details of her recent split from Justin Bieber.
The 20-year-old tried to remain graceful and modest as she did an interview on the Late Show With David Letterman on Monday, however couldn’t help but made a slight jab at her pop star ex.
The TV show host told the actress: ‘Last time you were here, you were with a Justin Bieber. That’s not going on now.’
Selena was very clear about stating they were no longer an item, replying: ‘No, I’m single. I’m so good.’
And when David went on to explain that he got himself into a spot of trouble with the teenager, the beautiful brunette took the opportunity to bond over her own spat with him.
The presenter said: ‘Now, the last time he was on, he and I got into a conversation and he said something and I said something, and then he said something and I said something, and I made him cry.’
It led Selena – who also divulged that she was not dating anyone yet – to quip: ‘Well then, that makes two of us.’
She has become quite the fashion darling of late as she promotes her new movie Spring Breakers, gracing the red-carpet in an array of chic ensembles.
And for her appearance on TV, once again she did not disappoint in the style stakes.
The former Disney star raised hemlines to show off her impressive pins in a very short sequin and lace black mini dress.
The tiny attire also feature a nude sheer panelling at the bust with spotted detailing.
Selena kept things chic by pairing the attire with a long tuxedo style jacket featuring leopard print lining and a pair of simple satin black stilettos.
Bieber’s former girlfriend wore her hair in a chic and simple updo’ and had minimal make-up on her complexion.
Selena has spent weeks promoting her upcoming movie Spring Breakers all over the world.
But over the weekend the young star finally got a respite, and enjoyed a break.
The actress attended an NBA game with her agent on Sunday night, with the pair watching the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Sacramento Kings 113-102.
Over the past year, Selena has been strategically planning her more grown-up career moves alongside her entire team, including her ‘momager’ Amanda Teefey.
Her provocative new R-rated flick, Spring Breakers, will hit screens March 22.
Selena had to leave behind her good-girl image to help tell the tale of four college students who rob a store to pay for their holiday in Florida.
‘Disney is a machine, and I’m grateful for it, but I feel like being part of that environment made me crave the reaction from other projects even more,’ the Wizards of Waverly Place star told the New York Times. ‘Creatively this is where I wanted to go.’
She stars in the film from eccentric director Harmony Korine alongside High School Musical’s Vanessa Hudgens, Pretty Little Liars’ Ashley Benson, and Rachel Korine.
James Franco also stars in the boozy feature, taking on the role of a ghetto-fabulous drug dealer named Alien who sports corn rows and gold teeth.
‘I’ve never been part of a movie I would watch over and over again, and I’m really proud of it,’ beamed Selena.
‘It’s as far as I could go at this point in my life and career. It’s me kind of taking baby steps, but I know that people will judge my involvement in the movie as a whole. I’m prepared to accept that.’
The brunette beauty said her mother was also a ‘Harmony fan’ and urged her to take the part of Faith.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Selena will headline the Radio Disney Music Awards on April 27 at L.A. Live’s Nokia Theatre.
