Bang Bang hitmaker Jessie J reckons we’ve all got the ponytailed princess all wrong.

Ariana Grande’e reputation goes before her – she’s a diva – everyone knows it.

But Bang Bang hitmaker Jessie J reckons we’ve all got the ponytailed princess all wrong.

“I always say, judge a person when you meet them,” Jessie told US Weekly, when asked about Ariana’s diva-ish antics.

“I’ve met Ariana, and there’s a very thin line between ‘diva’ and ‘survival’. And a lot of people can’t (differentiate that) – and I’ve had that,” she said.

“I’ve had the diva stuff. And it’s when people can’t cope with how passionate you are, and how much you care.

“She’s super talented, she’s very young, and she’s very sure of what she wants,” she said. “I think she’s wonderful. She’s great.”

The pair became pals when they recorded their chart-topping track, Bang Bang together.

The bangin’ track, excuse the pun, has been a song of the summer around the world, with the stars performing at the MTV Video Music Awards together last month, and has now got some recognition in Jessie’s home country.

Bang Bang has been scored nearly 100,000 chart sales, and has been streamed over 800,000 times.

It’s the first single to be taken from Jessie’s third album Sweet Talker and is her third number one single, and is her first chart-topper in THREE years. While it’s Nicki Minaj’s first taste of the top spot in the UK – can you believe that?
