The NBA star has spoken about the Colombian singer.

Both professionally and personally, this year has been a very productive one for Shakira.

Her separation from Gerard Pique and her new life in Miami have come as a major boost to the Colombian, who does not stop releasing new songs.

In addition, the Colombian is very active in the social life of Miami, where many celebrities live, including Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler.

The artist has been seen attending NBA games with her children, Sasha and Milan, cheering on the Miami Heat.

And, Shakira made headlines during the NBA playoffs when she cheered for one Heat player more than any other.

The player was Jimmy Butler, with whom she was romantically linked, in addition to other potential suitors, such as Lewis Hamilton.
Jimmy Butler addresses the Shakira rumors.

Jimmy Butler and Shakira

In the case of Butler, the NBA player has made some statements in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, in which he wanted to explain what Shakira means to him.

“She is an incredible human being and an incredible talent,” Butler said.

Butler was questioned about the rumors of whether they could be a couple, and the NBA star denied this.

“You never know what people are doing so people just make stuff up,” he added.

“Just because we are friends, she lives in Miami, and her sons are big basketball fans, that doesn’t mean anybody’s dating.

“Just because people hang out doesn’t mean anybody’s dating, but it gives everybody something to talk about, so y’all take it and y’all run with it.

“She’s very, very cool and that’s all I got!”

Jimmy Butler on his kids

During the interview, the NBA star also spoke about how much his children mean to him.

“My true heroes are my kids because they have to sacrifice so much with who I am as their dad,” he said.

“I can’t take them to school every single day. I can’t pick them up from school every single day. I can’t sit down and have dinner with them every night.

“They sacrifice so much, and I’ve sacrificed so much to get to where I am today, so I can understand how hard that can be at times, but they’re my heroes.

“I just want to live up to every single aspect they see me as: the best dad, the best basketball player, the best drawer, the best tic-tac-toe-r, the best Lego-builder, whatever it may be.

“Those kids are who I look up to.”
